Limerick Open 2015
The Limerick Open 2015 was held on the October bank holiday weekend (24–26 October) at the Savoy Hotel, Limerick. It was a six-round event, with 70 entries in the Philip Hogarty Open (40 players) and the Under 1400 section (30 players).
Philip Hogarty Open
Ioana Gelip (Romania) finished first on 5.5/6 and won the perpetual trophy. Round 5 leader Tom O’Gorman (Dun Laoghaire) lost in round 6 to Ioana Gelip, which allowed her to move into sole first place. Tom O’Gorman and Stephen Moran (Trinity College) shared joint second on 5/6.
- Grading prizes: U-1800 Thomas Dunne Jnr 4/6; U-1600 Desmond Fanning 4/6; U-1400 Dennis Ruchko 3.5/6
Under 1400 section
- First prize: Jonathan Peoples (Derry), 5.5/6
- Second prize: David Remenyik (Gorey), 5/6
- Third prize: Diarmud Reidy, 4.5/6
- Grading prizes: Ludmila Podzimkova 4/6, Mateo Plaza Reino 3/6 and Dylan Murphy 3/6
