Limerick Open 2019
The Limerick Open 2019 was held on the October bank holiday weekend (26–28 October) at the South Court Hotel, Limerick. It was a six-round event, with 75 entries in the Philip Hogarty Open (44 players) and the Under 1400 section (31 players).
Philip Hogarty Open
First prize went to Tarun Kanyamarala (Portlaoise), who finished on 5.5/6. In round 4 the 4th seed beat 3rd-ranked FM Colm Daly, then drew in round 5 against 2nd-ranked FM Henry Li (Gonzaga) to take a half-point lead into the final round, when he beat Leon Putar (ranked 8th) to win first prize and the perpetual trophy. Joint second and third prize was shared by FM Gabriel Voiteneau (Romania) and FM Henry Li (Gonzaga), both on 5/6.

Under 1400 section
- First prize: Atharva Paibir (Cork), 5.5/6
- Second prize: Akshay Ranade (Cork), 5/6
- Third prize: Dylan Murphy (Ennis), 4.5/6
- Grading prizes: Band 1 (U-1100) Ian Finnerty (Galway) 4/6; Band 2 (U-800) Charles Ridgway (Gonzaga) 3.5/6
